FEB 13 - Volunteer at The Sustainable Fashion Community Center - East Harlem, 1-4 pm, volunteer. “Spend 3 hours sorting, hanging, organizing, and if you've got some skillz using those to help out this wonderful community of advocates, activities, and small business owners.” RSVP here.
FEB 14 - Valentine's Week Sorting Social, 9 am-12 pm, 1-4 pm, volunteer. “Join FABSCRAP Brooklyn from February 14th to the 17th to participate in sorting fabric scraps for recycling and to shop for reclaimed textiles afterward. You are encouraged to bring a +1 and enjoy this delightful socializing/volunteering event!”
FEB 14 - Trail Work Wednesdays, 10 am-1 pm, volunteer. “Be a part of the community effort to maintain the trails in Van Cortlandt Park. Whether you're an experienced trailblazer or new to trail maintenance, your help will make a significant impact!” RSVP here.

FEB 17 - Playground One Forty Beautification Day, 10 am-12 pm, volunteer. “We're seeking volunteers to assist with weeding, raking and cleaning of the garden beds. Please note that the specific tasks may be weather-dependent.” RSVP here.
FEB 17 - Tompkins Park Cleanup, 10 am-1 pm, volunteer. “Friends of Tompkins Square Park is dedicated to restoring and preserving the beauty, health, and safety of Tompkins Square Park for all.” RSVP here.

FEB 12 - Circular Economy Salon, 6-8 pm, $10. “The evening can include, but is not limited to guest speakers, light bites and refreshments, presentations, some structure, fireside chats, panels, parties, launches/announcements, and more!” Purchase tickets here.
FEB 12 - Virtual Climate Cafe + Facilitator Training, 6-8 pm, $5 suggested donation. “Hosting a Climate Cafe is one of the best ways to connect with our communities and expand conversations about climate in our everyday lives.” Purchase tickets here.
FEB 14 - THE RADICAL FLANK: DANA FISHER'S BOOK & XR NYC'S 2024 STRATEGY, 6:15-9:30 pm. “Extinction Rebellion NYC has been in the news for its radical actions; however, we also believe that creating community is as important to mitigate climate shocks. Through decades of research and observation of the process of (failed) climate policy, Prof Dana R. Fisher has come to the same conclusion. Join us for a conversation with her about her latest book "Saving Ourselves: from Climate Shock to Climate Action" followed by a discussion of XR NYC's 2024 strategy.” RSVP here.
